Verifying Disks

Is there any way to stop the contents of a disk being verified after they have been written? I have burnt a DVD with several files and don't like waiting for the contents to be verified. Or can I just hit the little cross when the contents begin to verify to cancel the process?

I don't know about Disk Utility, but in Toast, you can choose while burning whether or not to verify. I recommend it as an application anyway, as it really is great 🙂
