Hi, iMac OS X 10.6.8 Late 2008 New hard drive fitted 2 months ago by local Apple shop. Upgraded memory via Fusion to 4 GB. When I run the permissions verifications check in disk utility I get a long list of errors. Then I click repair permissions. After it is finished running if I click verify again I get the same list of errors. Is this normal? I have repeated the process several times one after the other & the results don't change. Am I doing something wrong? Or does the repair permissions not actually repair them at all??
Thanks owenp

i've had this prob, since updated to 10.6.8 have run disc perms from disc that came with comp to the 10.6.0 disc and found it doesn't repair. but not worry about it as not cause any problems at all. and it doesn't work in lion either.
