Carrier Verizon 9/27 delivery dates

I'm switching from AT&T. I preordered at 9:35 (central) with my friend who works there and have a shipment date of 9/27. Ordered Pro 256 Midnight Green. He calls me today and asks if I can track my phone yet. I said no. He said I have two phones delivered that were ordered after yours that came today and had the same shipment date. They were the same phone configuration but Pro Max's. And they never got any shipment updates. They just showed up. I thought that was weird. But hopefully, mine might "show up" soon. Still in processing mode via the website.
Mine has shipped, but I won’t be able to touch it until next Friday anyway, so I’ll join this boat.
We can tide ourselves with all the first impressions and pictures. I’m rolling to the Apple store tomorrow to just enjoy the energy and check out the phones in person.

I ordered the Pro Max 256 space gray probably about an hour after it went live. I had retuned a Note 10+ about a week before and Verizon didn’t fix it so I could still upgrade. So when I ordered the moment preorders started it wouldn’t let me.
So called Verizon and they said should be fixed in an hour so I waited. It was fixed and I ordered and got it on 9/20 via UPS. Maybe it had to with color availability?

In the boat for the 27th. Just got off the phone with Verizon and they confirm the shipment wheels have just begun spinning. Pro 256 MG ordered five minutes after the online process began. Somewhere in between now and then, earned the 27th even though order said the 20th. Oh well, looking forward to it when it gets here. Good luck everyone!
So it will get to us BY the 27th or ship ON the 27th? That’s what I’ve been confused about.
How are you checking on it? I use the order status search on Verizon’s website but haven’t received a tracking number...
No idea why so many people bother pre ordering if they aren’t getting the phones day 1. Apple right now have tons of stock in stores. Just walk in and get it immediately. Been like that the past few years.
If you go to Apple store website, almost every model is available in store for purchase. While delivery date is 2-3 weeks out. Silly if you asks me. Cancel the pre order and go to a store if you have one close by.

In the strangest twist of fate, today’s flight was signaled to delay due to bad weather. If I didn’t fly today, the next soonest I could fly would be Tuesday due to my current schedule. Well, I ultimately had to change my flight, so now I’m not leaving until late Tuesday. FedEx usually shows up by 2pm in my area. Hopefully, maybe, please, I’ll be able to get my phone and set it up before flying out Tuesday night.
Hopefully, there’s some movement between today and tomorrow for everyone here. Last week, many started receiving notifications on Sunday and into Monday. Hopefully, it’s a similar pattern for this week only with a sooner delivery than 9/27.

People do it because sometimes it’s easier to go through the carrier. Also you can’t just cancel the pre order and go same day. Normally takes 24-72 hours to show your upgrade useable again on your account
Just checked my status. It has changed to shipped. It shipped on Friday. It says to check your email for tracking information but I never received an email yet. So hopefully I'll have it by tomorrow or Tuesday!!
I called this morning and they couldn't find the tracking information. It's getting delivered to my local Verizon store where I ordered it from. My friend works there and will let me know when it comes in but I found it odd that he couldn't find the tracking information. He has the order and said it was shipped but couldn't see anything after that.
yeah that’s very strange. I remember another member tracked their order by reference number using their order number from Verizon
My Midnight Green 64 GB Max that was going to be delivered 9/27 is in FedEx's hands with a 9/25 delivery date.
