Got my X on Friday Nov 3. As part of my upgrade I returned my Iphone 7. I put it into UPS on Monday with the included UPS return sticker. Yesterday, Wednesday, I got a nasty gram from Verizon saying since I hadn't returned the phone they were posting the value of the phone as a bill on my account. My UPS tracking says the phone won't get there until Friday. Whoever set up the computer program to send out such notices without figuring out what is a reasonable time to return it plus the delay of a slow ( probably ground ) UPS process provided by Verizon, should be hung. This is no way to engender good will. Bad Verizon.
Update: Got an email from Verizon that they got my phone. No apology for an early nastygram.
