For the first time ever, I cracked my XS Max's screen... just days before turning it back in to Verizon with the upgrade plan. I have Verizon's Total Mobile Protection, so my question for anyone who knows is: must I get the phone fixed before turning it in or can I turn it in and be billed the fee to fix a cracked screen? Thanks in advance!

I believe you actually have to file a claim, get the new phone then turn it in. Unless somethings changed. I would definitely contact Verizon for clarification though.

Thanks! I called and they are sending out a tech to repair the screen next Monday. They did request that I do not activate my new phone before the repair is complete, though. No problem. $30 for coming out to repair my screen? I’ll take it!

Did you have device protection?

Awesome, I like that they’re coming to you. What did you upgrade to if you didn’t mind me asking?

I upgraded to the Pro Max. Honestly, I was set on not upgrading. Not to make some stand or anything, but I'm just so busy with work, my family, and new baby. I didn't see any deficiency with my current XS Max. But, Apple got me. The longer battery life is really appealing because my family and I have annual passes to Disney World and that extra battery life is really needed with all the photos we're taking now. Plus, I'm already hooked into the monthly payments. So, here again I find myself upgrading. I take that same approach with my car. I lease instead of buy because monthly payments are lower leasing and I enjoy having something new every few years. Maybe not the best way to save money, but that's the path I've found myself on now haha.

I'm the same situation I have a Max now, it's mint with no issues. It's easily my favorite iPhone to date. I will be upgrading to the Pro Max this year out of want, not need. I have no other vices, my family's taken care of, so why not. I've been doing Black Friday deals the past few years and that helps offset Christmas somewhat. My Max is immaculate so I'll sell it to recoup some of my expenses for my new Pro Max. Couldn't agree more, on payments, if I'm paying monthly, it may as well be the current model. LOL. Good luck with your Pro Max!
