Like many of the Verizon IPad2 owners, I had a problem with having my ipad making a 3G connection without having to reboot everytime. I finally found a Verizon tech support person that knew what they were talking about. All you have to do is sync your ipad to itunes in order to back up everything on your ipad and then go into your settings on the ipad and click on resetting which will erase everything on the ipad. After doing that just reconnect to itunes and click on restore to sync everything back to your ipad. Very easy and it worked for me. I lost nothing during the restore. I also updated to the latest software change.

Has anyone else tried this? I got my iPad 2 on launch day and went back to the Apple store to exchange it. The Genius tried other Verizon models and when you turn on the 3G you need to reboot the system for the 3G to take effect. Verizon didn't have a solution neither.

The tech guy knew exactly what I was talking about when I called. I've
tried switching to 3G a dozen times now and it works every time. The guy did suggest I turn off WFi before turning on the 3G. If your not comfortable resetting it yourself just call Verizon support and have them walk you through it.
