I bought an iPhone 6 with the Verizon Edge program but didn't like it. I contacted Verizon within the 30-day period and they sent me a different phone. They were supposed to include the return label so I could send the iPhone back, but nothing was in the package. I waited a week then called Verizon and asked them about it. They told me to log into my account and go through the process of requesting a return, but the only phone in my account is the new one; the system won't allow me to return the iPhone.

I waited another month and there is still no option to return it. I also have not been charged for not returning it. So I basically have an iPhone 6 sitting in my desk with no charge for it and no requirement to return it.

Can I give this to someone else to use? Will Verizon still see it attached to another account and think it is stolen? What are my options?

At this point, just take it back to the store and tell them the same exact thing you said above and see what they say.

It was purchased by phone through Verizon customer service. They have no record of it in my account. I am wondering if someone else could use it with their own Sim card. If I keep asking Verizon, they will probably find a way to take it back or charge me for it.

Another sim card will work in it for a limited time. At some point, Verizon will notice that you have not returned it and will charge your credit card for the value of the phone and if you don't pay the fee they will "brick" the phone. So if you sold it, whoever bought it will get very angry with you. I would not sell it until you have your bill settled with Verizon.

I wouldn't sell it, as there's always a chance that a week from now or 6 months from now Verizon will do some sort of audit and realize their mistake, and will either charge you the full retail price or blacklist the phone.
