Verizon ip6 to Verizon ip6 PLUS SIM card transfer?

If I upgrade from my Verizon ip6 to someone else's Verizon iP6 PLUS that I buy from them, can I just put my ip6 verizon SIM card in their Plus that I buy from them, even if their plus isn't an unlocked phone?

Again, they are both Verizon phones.
