Verizon Ipad confusion

IS the verizion iPad contains dual chip meaning can be used on both CDMA and GSM network ?
Reason for asking is if you buy the Verizon ipad you are stuck with them in States ? What about overseas when limited availability of CDMA network ?

Yes, the Verizon iPad is unlocked, and will work with any GSM SIM card. LTE will not work, however. I have a Verizon iPad and an AT&T iPhone and my AT&T SIM works in the iPad after changing the APN.
