The iPhone 13 has been made official. Pre-orders begin this Friday September 17th at 5am PST/8am EST. The phone will be available next Friday, September 24th.

This will be my first year pre-ordering through Verizon. I normally go through Best Buy or Apple, but I have $100 of device dollars stacked up from Verizon Up.

How is pre-order and delivery process with Verizon?

I also have device dollars saved up and ready to go.

For those that have preordered through Verizon right when preorders open, what’s the best way to ensure no issues? App, mobile website, desktop website?

First time preordering through Verizon for me also, I have $850 in Verizon gift cards LOL.

Plus $15 device dollars haha.

What I’ve done in the past is mobile, I set my alarm for 10 minutes before PRE ORDERS start and I do it on my iPhone through the web browser

I always order through Verizon’s desktop site and never have had an issue. I think I’m going for the 256GB Pro in Sierra Blue this year, but may switch to my traditional Gold at the last minute.

Anyone notice Verizon seems to be pushing 30 month payment plans this year? One more thing to keep an eye on at checkout.

In years past, the app and website both seemed to be safe choices. One thing I will stay is stay away from Apple Pay in the app. If I recall correctly, people last year had some issues a few days after preorders due to Apple Pay.

Judging from the responses from this forum and across the internet, I am assuming none of us will have issues getting one on launch day.

I’m looking forward to that bigger battery and promotion display.

For those who got day one last year, I’m assuming you have one payment left (to trade in for early upgrade) since the phones shipped a few weeks later?

Also curious about device payment options. Going through Apple it seems the only option for Verizon device payment is 30 months. But if you go in Verizon and look at phones, they all have options between 24 & 30. Hopefully they keep the 24 month option, especially with talk about the promo only allowing 30 months for pro models.

Anyone have any insight on this? It seems like if you are on early upgrade/upgrade yearly it makes more sense to have the 24 month option…

It seems like 24 months will at least be an option directly through Verizon based on the info hover in their header. It seems like it will just be one more thing to keep an eye on at checkout.

Can I use my 650 gift card and cash to just pay it off immediately or do I need to pay the 650 down and the remaining 600 later.

so you can only get the 128 gig for free? Kind of wanted the 256

I’m on At&T and want to switch to Verizon for many reasons. Does anyone know if I can get both the $500 switch to Verizon with an existing device deal, and then get the iPhone 13 max discount 24/30 month deal?

Nice find! I've been trying to figure out whether there are any differences in ordering/upgrading/trading in with Apple or directly through Verizon as an existing Verizon customer. This looks like one notable one, as I'd prefer the 24 month plan (which Apple doesn't appear to offer). Are there any differences in trade-in values or anything else?

Any deals for Verizon customers outside of trade in? Doesn't trading in basically limit you/force you in contract? If I want to upgrade early I lose those bonus credits in the future.

Any loyalty discounts?

I'd say call and ask for a loyalty discount. I have $20 off per month right now because I have 4 lines and on the Start Unlimited plan. Depending on your account, they may have a credit but you always have to ask for it.

I went ahead and paid off my phone as my last payment would've been after the launch.

Apple's showing an $800 trade-in value for my (128gb) iPhone 11 with 30 month installment plans on the Verizon Device Payment Program when purchasing the iPhone 13 Pro. Hopefully VZW's website will offer the same $800 discount with a 24-month contract.

EDIT: Deleted some incorrect comments.

Nice! How long have you been with Verizon and when did you ask? Did you ask via phone or chat?

I didn't even really think to ask for a discount. I was on the phone with a rep talking about plans and possibly changing one of our lines to a different plan. I had received a marketing email saying we could switch plans for free and it just didn't sound right to me. The rep confirmed it would cost us more to switch plans and then offered that there was a $20 loyalty credit that could be applied since we had 4 lines and had been customers for about 5.5 years at that point. I believe the credit is only for 4-6 months but I'll take any discount offered. :)

Thanks for pointing that out, though I have some doubts about the wording.

Hopefully VZW's website will offer the same $800 discount with a 24-month contract, but as I said, odds are that they're just talking about the 24 months for the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13, and the 30 months for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
That info box is specifically for the Pro though, for what it's worth.

Does anyone know how the trade in upgrades work with Verizon, specifically over the 30 month period? Verizon says if I trade in my current device it will be 9.96 a month which comes in at ~$300 over that time. This I think is fine for an upgrade for me since I have an 11pro. But say I want to upgrade next year can I pay off whatever is left from the $300 and do the same sort of trade in next year?

If I have one payment left before upgrade should I be paying it off before pre-orders or can I just do it when I order the phone?
