Does anyone know how the trade in upgrades work with Verizon, specifically over the 30 month period? Verizon says if I trade in my current device it will be 9.96 a month which comes in at ~$300 over that time. This I think is fine for an upgrade for me since I have an 11pro. But say I want to upgrade next year can I pay off whatever is left from the $300 and do the same sort of trade in next year?
Is that $9.96 a month with the bill credits? If you trade in early, you generally lose any remaining bill credits. So instead of having $180 left, you'd be looking at original full price minus your payments minus the credits you have received thus far. So it could be $1000-$120-$276=$604.

I have my current iPhone half paid off. To preorder, do I go through the “upgrade” link in my account? Or do I go straight to the preorder page? Thanks for the help

You can do it during the pre-order. Verbiage exists when you choose to upgrade. Test in in the app and you'll see
Given it’s a shorter cycle, doesn’t this give two months payment to Verizon? Basically you’re paying a month overlap cost to upgrade.

I’m torn between Verizon and apple. I have 650 in gift cards from Verizon and apple is saying 790. Blah. I don’t know lol

I have $850 in vzw gift cards LOL so that’s who I’m going with this year even though I hate ordering through the carrier.

Ordering through Verizon again (creature of habit) should I be alarmed that the devices aren’t up on their store yet? They normally have em up at least a day before

When I go to my line on the Verizon account, my only option to upgrade is to pay the full amount for my phone which is $634. I got my 12 Pro Max on launch day last year and it should be eligible for the Annual Upgrade program, I just have to pay 50% off the phone (at 43% currently) but it doesn’t give me the option for this smaller payment, only the full pay off (option is greyed out, and even if I do it from the shopping page, it’s the same result.) How can I get it to only give me the Annual Upgrade price?

Just click that first option when you’re preordering it’ll give you the amount you need to get to 50%

Will the option become available when preordering? Right now if I try to buy another 12 Pro Max, it won’t let me select that option, it is greyed out and the only way to proceed is to check the pay off in full.

If that option is greyed out right now then yeah you would have to talk to a representative because I doubt it'll let you when iPhone 13's preorder goes live.

on the website it says 'save up to $1000 via trade-in and get your trade-in promo credit over 24 or 30 months.'
wait if I would like to upgrade my 13 to 14, my 12 will worth let's say $300? that's ridiculous and a rip-off. I really need a clarification about this.

So i saw someone post your problem on reddit and he went to a verizon store to run a mock upgrade and it worked in-store so you might have to do it in store.

Yeah it’s meant to make you stay the whole 24/30 months with verizon. I’d suggest just selling the phone yourself instead.
