I have the Verizon iPhone 4 and it says it has a 3G signal, however whenever I go to do anything it switches to 2G (the circle) and the internet becomes so slow it is unusable. I tried restoring it and resetting network setting, however nothing fixed the problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

That is not 2.5G, That is 1xRTT which is like GPRS on the GSM side... it is a 2G thing more likely.

Anyways, it seems more of a network issue than phone.

It started about a month ago and it still happens in different locations. My father's iPhone works fine even though they are both on Verizon.

Had the exact same problem all day at work today. Couldn't get 3G to save my life. Don't know the reason; don't know the solution. Annoying as hell, though
