Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Has anyone with the location number "W779001" received their tracking number yet? I contacted VZW and asked if I should have received a tracking number since they charged me (not authorization) today. The guy said that it was weird and that I should have received a tracking number but that I should get the iPhone by Friday. He said it may just take a few days for Verizon to prepare my iPhone for shipment. It looks like I won't have a chance at getting my iPhone early :(

I have been through this before, since I have a used 4g phone. Essentially once a 4g sim card is activated on a phone it is permanently linked to that line. If you activate the iphone on different line than yours first, you will need to either buy a new sim card from verizon, or use a current 4g sim card if you are using a 4g phone with verizon. They are much much cheaper online vs going into the store. If you think you may need one, order now.

When my sister need one for my Thunderbolt I gave her she got one for free from Verizon. Also I heard rumors they can flash them OTA...not sure if that's true or not though.

Ok weird. First I got the 320 pending charge on my credit card earlier today...then it disappeared for a few hours and now its back. I don't understand why they don't do it and just leave it!

LOL - I just checked and the same thing has happened to me. At this point I feel like they're doing it just to screw with our minds.

I have that location number, and received my tracking number at 9:09. Same state too.
 
Just saw my receipt on My Verizon!
It was processed in NJ, and it says Fedex 2 day shipping! Yesss I think Fedex comes earlier than UPS in my town which is perfect because I need to be back in NYC around 6, so the earlier the better.

(still no shipping confirmation email though)
 
oh, oops. read that as from Kentucky. sorry!

Sometimes things just take the scenic route getting around. Ordered a iphone5 case from Amazon. It went from Nevada to California to Kentucky and I live in Oregon.

yes tonight for one phone so far, my wifes. Her order was placed first by 1:03am MST.

My other order was placed around ten minutes later. nothing so far for that order
 
Got my shipping email. Says "picked up Memphis, TN" estimated delivery: Sept 21 at 3:00.

Not having received shipment confirmation yet, I'm going to choose to believe that the first temporary authorization was just to release the phone to be shipped, and this second authorization is the actual charge prior to shipping.

I couldn't order until about 3:12 EDT because I had to switch to the ShareEverything Plan, to take effect that day, and it didn't want to start the plan until 1:10 MDT.

Still haven't received shipment notification. Where is your shipment now?

Haha I'm thinking they are done processing phones for the night considering it is 01 EST but who knows. I wouldn't mind getting an email right now with my info.
 
I just received my shipping e-mail from Verizon.
Here are my data points:
16GB Black
Upgrade on a grandfathered family plan
Shipped via Fedex with a note that "future delivery requested"
Location on order - D771901
Shipped 9/18 from West Chester, PA headed up here to NY. Surprised it originated from someplace so close! Now, if only my Apple.com order would ship.
