Best post EVER!
Such an idiot... if only you would read! I don't have the phone, I never did have the phone! I haven't purchased it and still not even sure if I ever will.

Anyways, I totally understand your points about losing a phone and hoping that person returns it. I'm just looking to get an iPhone and prior to this offer I was looking on Ebay as well. If I buy one should I feel guilty that I'm "stealing" from someone? Who knows if it's truly theirs or if they found it as well and the ESN is clean.

So please tell me the best way to get an iPhone when you don't have an upgrade and don't really feel like dishing out the retail price of $649. If you've got a better option PLEASE get me in the loop.

Trust me I'm at fault in the first place for going to Android:rolleyes: Just trying to find my way back to :apple:

Unbelievable. Stop trying to play dumb so you can get a discounted iPhone. Investigate further and turn it in... I can't stand people like the OP.

Really? Investigate further and turn it in.... hmmm how do you turn in a phone that isn't yours? How do you turn in something that isn't in your possession?? Talk about being dumb..

Need to trash this thread.. stupidity is running high!

possession of stolen property is not nearly as bad as stealing it yourself ... you should feel fine about it

Just buy the phone and hook it up. Be sure to let us know how it goes.

If the original owner ends up blacklisting it, you could be screwed. That's the risk you take for not wanting to buy a 100% legit phone.

IF <~ Which was always the key word. Some people couldn't grasp that!!

I've always wanted a legit phone just without an upgrade the price is absurd. Not sure I wanna deal with the lost/stolen blacklist drama that everyone has brought up though.

That's that! Case closed

Smart move. Plus you're not rewarding your friend's father who "found" the phone. Let him keep that risk.

If I owned a "found" phone, I'd want to sell it ASAP. I wouldn't want the potential headache.

I have found two iphones. I made calls to recent numbers on the phone and found the owner.

The phone belongs to SOMEBODY. If you lost your phone, would you consider if fair game to anyone that found it, or would you hope they would try to find you.

I can not believe this is even a discussion.

IT BELONGS TO SOMEBODY!

In all seriousness, why do people ask this question time and again. If you think it's stolen, then it very likely is. If you try to activate it or use it or resell it you have received stolen property and will get some fun time with the courts.

Turn it in to the carrier, police but don't use it. Once the national database goes online for stolen phones life will become far less interesting for phone thieves.
