I was wondering if the hotspot network created by the iPhone on OS 4.3 was or was not an adhoc network. I would hope not since it would be so very much more convenient. Also, if it's not, do you believe there would be a hotspot app on Cydia that doesn't create an adhoc hotspot? I'd very much like to see MyWi being updated in that way.

I'm also curious about this, any Verizon owners that can chime in?

It's infrastructure, WPA2 encryption. I have a feeling you'll see MyWi be updated with this capability now that it's built into the OS.

They are currently working on MyWi to be an infrastructure network. To he'll with ad-hoc.
