Verizon iPhone Lock Screen

I just saw the new Verizon iPhone commercial, and noticed an addition to the lock screen:

For comparison, here is an iPhone 4 lock screen at present:

They kept the time in the status bar alongside the lock icon in the Verizon commercial instead of replacing it with the lock icon. Could have been done just for the commercial, but I thought it was interesting.

Could that be because the ViPhone is receiving a call and the AT&T phone is not in these examples? Not sure if that would change the time display feature.

Yes, that is the case. The AT&T iPhone looks exactly the same when receiving a call. Find two screen shots of the two different iPhones doing the same thing for an actual comparison.

They are different because one of the iPhones are receiving a call, but oddly enough - my iPhone doesn't display the time at all when receiving a call.

Looks like a screw up in the commercial. No biggie.

Top screen is the iPhone receiving a call, hence the slider reading "Slide to answer".

Bottom screen is the iPhone actually on it's lock screen.

Hence the difference. Can't think if my iPhone on O2 has the time when it receives a call, it's not something I've ever bothered checking!

Actually, no. The guy has a point. People on these forums (this subforum in particular) make threads about anything and everything.
