:D I really hope they are a bit late tomorrow. I have school and I want to sign the paper and rip the box open lol

Thanks for the post, glad to hear you are happy with the Shield. I've been waiting sooooo long (was eligible for a new phone in 09!) I'll pop for the pumper so when I set the phone down (if I ever do!!!:)) it won't be resting on itself.

I feel your pain, I've been eligible since January of last year, my phone (Samsung Glyde) is a joke, I can't wait to never use it again!

Good thing with the shield is if you have a kiosk in your mall (where I bought mine), you can pay $10 for them to install, or if you do it yourself and mess up, you can bring it in and they will give you a new one and install it (for the $10). It definitely takes some patience to install, but once its on, you'll never have to worry about it again!

Did anyone else's package gain weight along the way?

Mine was originally weighing in a 1LB (only one iPhone, no accessories) and now it's saying 2LB lol.

Why do people insist on using Screen covers?

I've had an original iPod touch, a Droid Incredible, etc and they didn't have gorilla glass but they didn't scratch at all.

The iphone, being gorilla glass, doesn't need protection like this! It simply hinders your touchscreen's sensitivity!

Why do you have collision insurance when you don't plan on wrecking your car?

The screen protector is there in case it were to get a scratch. If I didn't us a screen protector and got a scratch, I would be so pissed it COULD have been prevented with a skin.

It's scratch resistant, not scratch proof. And with my track record, I'm pretty good at scratching things up. If the touch sensitivity is so bad, I'll return it. But i'd rather be safe than sorry!

It doesnt hinder sensitivity and the screen WILL SCRATCH!

Gorilla glass or not there are plenty of folks with scratched iPhones. Maybe not terrible scratches, but scratches none the less. If you have any thought of trying to get top dollar on eBay for the phone when the time comes keep the packaging and for god's sake protect the phone from scratches. The metal band scratches easily too. Also, the type of screen used in the iPhone does not loose sensitivity when used with an appropriate screen protector. Oh, and the back is an even less resilient glass than the front so you really need to protect that as well. People are always down on the Invisible Shield because of the installation difficulty and the orange peel effect. I had used them several times in the past before getting my iPad, but for those reasons I decided to hold off on a screen protector. Low and behold after 2 moths of terrible finger grease and babying my screen I found a couple noticeable scratches. I decided to put on the shield and since then I can wipe the screen, which stays cleaner, with anything I can find without a worry. No more specialty cloths only.

But... what are you going to scratch it with? Unless you carry diamonds in your pocket...

I suppose I know why mine doesn't scratch up.

In one pocket, I carry only my phone, a pair of earbuds and they're wrapped in a microfiber cloth at the bottom of my pocket. I never have anything else in that pocket. It just feels wrong.

Bis, I don't want to put a screenie on it, but for piece of mind, I'm going to. I could keep it in a pants pocket by itself (which I do), but all it takes is for you to set it down on a dusty/slightly dirty surface and BAM, SCRAAAAATTTCCCHHHH. Then youre f*ed

NICE! I woke this morning to an email from ebay/paypal that my at&t iphone 4 sold for $600!! I will be shipping it out to the guy that bought it tomorrow after my brand new verizon iphone shows up. :D

It's not the usage its the cleaning!

I've babied all of my idevices and I'm convinced they eventually get scratched during cleaning or some microscopic particle on my finger. Look at your supposedly unscratched screen from different angles with the phone off in the sunlight.

Screen protector/Case

going to use some sort of shield and a case from an iphone 4 from ATT...going to make a simple mod until the Switcheasy cases arrive... they are pretty bullet proof and not too bulky...

Mine has been sitting in Newark NJ so long it got bored & ate all the packing peanuts and gained weight as well...

I've been watching this post since page 1 and it is funny how many people have begun to personify their iPhone, myself included.

Anyone else's still look like this? Getting a little scared, hearing that other people from MA see that theirs is in their local facility!

No worries, mine is now in East Boston at "Local Facility", but again, that is with Fedex. Yours is with UPS. My wife's is coming via UPS and hers is the same as yours, still showing Left Philly at 3am yesterday (2/5). UPS just sucks at updating. Typical. Courage and faith, courage and faith, you'll get yours on Monday I bet.

My experience with UPS tracking over the weekend...there usually ARE no updates until after midnight on Sunday then all kinds of magic happens.
