I disagree, CDMA is weak, you can't have a phone call and browse Safari or check out Maps at the same time, that said, CDMA is indeed a bag of hurt :)

I can look at Maps just fine while on a call with my Droid on Verizon. I can also send text messages and email on a call too. Internet? No. But, maps, text, and email? Yes. Which is all I would need as features while on a call.

Regarding the voice-data issue, I'm confused about this. Say I'm browsing in Safari and get phone call, what happens? What if I have Pandora playing and receive a call?

Same as what happens when listening to music/pandora/netflix on your phone now when you get a call. It pauses and takes the call.

That would not be an issue unless you want to get on the web while talking. The bigger issue would be in the scenario if you had a navigation program going like Garmin running and Pandora running. Pandora has a constant data stream and Garmin uses live maps so both would be needing access to data constantly. That would not work on CDMA.

Verizon iPhone is going to depreciate much faster than a GSM iPhone...so yes CDMA is a world of hurt. Whos eager to answer the compatibility questions that will come up?

*Sigh...not only do I stay in the MacBook section because its my new toy but I don't get ruffled by stupid comments like this. UMTS is superior to CDMA2000, its just that AT&Ts failure is associated with the great technology. Next time just look it up real quick or use those critical thinking skills.

Ew. You made the thread even worse with your troll stupidity. Making excuses to why the ATT network is bad? That is hysterical. Definitely shows why Verizon phone calls are better quality. Can you hear me now? Good!

i don't think there will be a problem with 2 data services running at the same time (like pandora and garmin). They both cache data ahead of time so they will both work simultaneously just like they would on a GSM device.
