Any new rumors on the Macworld announcement? It hasnt been brought up for a while.

Basically cause it isn't going to happen anytime soon, if at all...

If you really want to look up on it, there is a huge thread on this topic, just run a mRoogle search.

And in response to the poll, no, AT&T has a contract with Apple that extends for a few more years (at least), nobody knows for 100% certainty how long the exclusivity is. So, no chance at all that there will be an Verizon iPhone announced at Macworld.

It won't happen anytime soon. Apple has an exclustivity agreement with AT&T. I'm almost positive that it expires in mid 2010. In adition to that, my entire family switched to AT&T yesterday, and the signal is so much better, and there customer support is 100x better then Verizon's. I for one will never go back to Verizon.

Don

Just don't say anything about Verizon and you'll be okay.
Haha, I doubt that's it though, I have Verizon and it's fine, I would be happier if they had the iPhone, but I can live without it for another 7 or 8 months until I switch to AT&T.

But I think the real rule here is to complete a search before posting something about a topic that has literally been beaten to death.

And I totally understand that, but there is a less "rude" way of going about it

I know that many may find some of these responses rude, but when you sit here and watch all of the threads that are started when a simple search would have yielded them the proper answers, some emotions become loose and get posted.

But if you ever encounter a post that seems overtly rude or insulting, then just report it to the mods by pressing the report button (

i HAVE read the big thread, and i have searched. But what i was saying was i hadnt heard much of anything for a while.

*lighthearted raspberry* You should have SAID that. :p

We still would have told you "It's not happening; forget about it", but there wouldn't have been the "FOLLOW THE RULES AND SEARCH" outburst.

In light of this, I apologize for the "search" part of my first post.
and I, too apologize for suggesting that you might need to get a job/hobby/life.

we all know that I am the one that should follow my own advice...

Same here.
With verizon I was very limited in making/receiving calls while I was home.
ATT more bars.
iPhone aside I think verizon had a better select of phones.
If the iPhone was on verizon I would not swing back

You're lucky. Where I live (Western Virginia) the AT&T service is horrible and Verizon is quite good. Anyone who has a mission critical phone who has to travel out of metropolitian areas has to have Verizon.

If the iPhone came to Verizon, i would drop my current carrier right now and get it....

ATT's iPhone plan is complete BS.. You already pay for data and then they charge an extra 30 bucks for unlimited family texting?

Who saw that senators letter to the cell carriers concerning the cost of texting?

I did, it's about time that the cell carriers got what they had coming, the 100% increase in price of texting was complete BS, especially when it barely costs them anything for text messaging.

And what makes you think that verizon would be any better? Their plans are similar to, if not worse than AT&T's plans.

Verizon does have unlimited free texting, to any carrier.
Also the data plans are not quite as harsh. Its all personal preference it think.
