Directly from Verizon it is only .99 - but they are charging more. 999.99 for 64 for example.
not worth arguing with them about but with the number of phones they sell it is a nice bunch of money.

The morning pre-orders went live, I couldn't get onto the Apple Store for 6 minutes so I got an X in my cart on Verizon, almost ready to submit the order. I tried the Apple Store app again and finally got in and the model I wanted in the cart. It was ~$35 cheaper than Verizon so I ordered through Apple.
