Does not work for me on an iPhone 8. Say unable to register, try later.
I went to the website and got the same thing. I had to scroll down and select “call block free” from a drop down before it would add it.

Sure would be nice if we had some kind of regulatory body that could regulate these calls instead of cellular providers profiting form it.
On my Xs, the app says you have to enable "call blocking & identification " in settings, but the option is not available. Seems like a fail on VZW's part.
90% of my spam call problem would be solved if Apple allowed me to block 'No Caller ID'.
Or at least handled them the same way my landline phone does.
I personally never pick up a call if not in my contact list. If no voice mail left or the voice mail is junk, I block the number. But since these are spoof calls, the numbers are fake.
Except that many of those calls originate from overseas Spam/CallCenters…. like Bangladesh, or Guatemala, or Mehico. The chances of prosecuting them successfully is very slim. And even if it could, the FBI doesn't want to waste billions of dollars prosecuting and chasing down those overseas small phone-fraud operations. It's also wasteful for the FBI to spend millions chasing down those overseas "Nigerian Prince" scammers, and will result in nothing. They'd…. ummm…. much rather spend the resources and US taxpayer dollars chasing down the Drug Cartels, hmm?How about this?
Every caller is bonded, and subject to jail for a felony for violations, if we get a robocall/spam/fraud we report the call. After a certain number of complaints, the number is investigated. If found to be a bad call, everyone who reports it, or maybe everyone called, gets $100.
Spoofed numbers automatically pay
A market solution. I bet after 1 or 2 months, robocallers would be out of business and or in jail
Yay!
App doesnt work at all for me. It demands I enter my phone number, and as soon as i do it asks me again. Infinite loop. Uninstalled.
Even when I try to enroll my account online receive error that phone isn't supported (but it is supported on their device list / XR).
I go to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification, but there is no option for allowing an app to block calls. The only option listed is “Block Contact...” for manually adding a number. Anyone have a clue here?
Yep, and it's free, and it does all the things the Verizon paid version does.
I tried Robokiller, I don't know if it was just bad luck or what, but I got more spam calls afterwards. Also, I didn't like the fact that it takes over your voicemail, and most of the pre-recorded answering bots (to me) were a bit obnoxious.I wonder how the paid service compares to RoboKiller. They are about the same price wise.

Did you install the app first? I got this and was able to turn it on.
perfect except the calls are coming from India & PakistanHow about this?

Yes, you need to install the app to turn on services to the phone, even though you subscribed to the free service online.Do we actually need the app installed?
Or can we simply enable it on our Verizon Wireless account?
That’s the joke. The FCC is more concerned in destroying net neutrality than they are with this issue. I’ve had RoboKiller installed on my phone for the last couple months and it’s stopped 50 scam calls already. That’s about a call every couple days. That’s ridiculous. No, I don’t have to go to the government to get permission to call you. But I should have to in order to spoof my phone number to make it mimic yours so you’re more likely to answer my phone call. Robo-calling is illegal in the US, but the FCC does nothing to enforce it, short of taking out a big scam-ring every now and again. We do have a regulatory body. That is not the problem. The issue is that it is impossible to regulate someone dialing a phone number. If you want to call me, do you have to go to the government to get permission to do it?

I’m not one to say the government should have more power and add more regulations with a lot of things, but this issue, I’m fine with.
