VERIZON Order On Hold / Unable to Take Payment

    I ordered my yesterday, 9/12 iPhone 6 Gold 64gb around 2:55 am, received confirmation at 3:01 am. Status read:

    We received your order and it is in process
    Expected Delivery Date: 09/19/14.

    Everything went through without a hitch.

    Then received an email from VZW at 7:31 pm saying "Your order is currently on hold. We were unable to take payment with the information provided." I called customer service and asked them what the issue was, and they said it was declined. I asked them to re-run my card again, and they said it was declined a second time.

    I then gave a new card which FINALLY went through.

    Now, my Status reads:

    We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet.
    Expected Delivery Date: Not available at this time.

    BUT... here's the kicker... I checked my original credit card and there are TWO pending charges from Verizon for 353.09, the card Verizon said was declined. So now, I have 2 cards with 3 different pending charges.

    I'm told, however, that my place in my order wouldn't change as well and I should still expect a delivery date of 9/19/14.

    Anyone else go through this issue? Not with the multiple charging, but having to re-call to verify payment information and been told that your place in line of order would not change. I've read others did and their experience, but would also love to read more about others who may have been in the same boat for confirmation/reassurance.

    Call the apple rep and get that sorted. Apple has already said they were giving people a week to sort out their orders before cancelling.

    Thanks for the info. I ordered through Verizon so I would assume I would have to go through them. At this point, I may have done all I can and just have to wait it out.

    Same thing happened to me. I ordered a 6 space gray 64gb at about 2:57 EST from Verizon's website. The order went through and I got a confirmation email right away. About 7:30 last night I get an email from my bank saying a charge had been flagged as suspicious. Then 20 minutes later I get an email from Verizon saying my order was on hold. I had to get the charged verified through my bank and then get Verizon to run the payment again, and it went through.

    The Verizon rep said this shouldn't affect my order shipment. I'm still waiting for a shipment email. It looks like they started going out to other people this morning.

    Thanks for the info. Keep me informed what you find out if you could and I'll do the same :)

    I also placed an order shortly after I did for my brother under my parent's family plan, and looks like his status has been updated to be ship by 9/19. Lucky kid.

    Just got my shipment confirmation for my order! Looks like they were correct that it didn't affect our order. Good luck to yours!
