I'm confused... What is the point of staying up to pre-order an iPhone if the time that you order makes no difference? I see constant updates of shipping and charges from people who have ordered the exact same phone much later than I have, even by several hours.

The VZW reps don't have any useful information, everything they say sounds like an automated, scripted response. Their tone is that since I was quoted 9/23, I should have no expectation of receiving it earlier, even if other later orders will. Thanks, Verizon.

check ups and fedex with the reference number trick, most of us aren't getting emails we got our info that way

Did you preorder through Verizon? My experience is that going through Apple is the best way. They have more stock; whereas the carriers have limited stock and usually take longer.

Yeah I've checked every which way, all the tricks I've read on here. Nothing works.

Yes, direct from Verizon. I assumed I needed to since I was dealing with a device upgrade under 50%

It seems like many of the people who received shipping confirmations were all in the same region and ordered the same phone. For example, last night there were a bunch of people in the southeast who got confirmations for 128 GB iPhone 7+ in Rose Gold or Matte Black. It may have just been that a pallet containing those phones were received at that particular hub. You may still receive your phone when everyone does, but the pallet containing your phone may not have been received by the hub closet to you.

I ordered directly from Verizon and am set to receive my phone on Friday since it shipped on Monday. I mean I don't know what the status is on your phone but maybe trying to call instead?? I haven't had any issues.

Were you quoted 9/23?

At what time? I got my email by 3:16a PST.

Well I'll say I didn't stay up to pre-order. Did it around 7 AM EST. But because I got Gold 32GB, it was showing 9/16 when I ordered. A few hours later I saw 9/23. I don't know what model you are getting but like I said up above, maybe trying to call and speak to a supervisor will be your best bet.

Just be patient, they're sorting through thousands of orders. You'll get it.
Yes. Patience. I feel bad for the all the customer service reps who have to answer the constant flood of calls asking about the iPhone. Constantly repeating the same stuff. Just relax. It will come. Mine is scheduled for the 23rd and I like so many of you ordered as soon as the site went live. Ill just wait it out.

My experience is the exact opposite. We did the apple upgrade program and i read and was told they had stock specifically set aside for that plan etc. Plus the Apple Store App is better than any carrier website, and I've been doing this horrendous, exciting, chaotic, pre-order dance since the 4.
