This is why I stopped going to Verizon Wireless stores. Went to upgrade one year with my wife and we refused to get insurance on our phones. The lady insisted, got visibly upset, told us to our faces that we were idiots, then slammed her tablet down and told us she didn't think she could upgrade our phones unless we were willing to get insurance and would have to talk to a manager. We told the manager we were extremely offended, at which the manager just laughed in our faces as we walked out of the store.
We made a point to never do business with a Verizon Wireless store again, and haven't.

@Newtons Apple recommended... go to an Apple Store. We did and for many many years now haven't looked back.
