They may have the email/tracking, but it's not going to be delivered early. Every year people get the emails/tracking numbers, but they're held until the delivery date.

I got a 256gb Black iPhone Air and I already have an email with tracking as well. I know it won't be at my door until Friday, but it's nice to dream! 😀
Mine shipped with the tracking number with a delivery date on verizon of the 19th, ups shows the 26th. Weird stuff and i ordered mine within the first two minutes so i guess we will see.
Confirmed I have a tracking number for my 17 pro max 512gb silver order IMEI of new device is showing on my order and my account details say no buyout is available - of course it hasn’t been scanned in UPS yet.
Have tracking numbers for both of our phones and both have been marked as in transit and coming out of Indiana. Both also have a by end of day delivery for the 19th.
Anyone initially get an estimated shipping date of 10/10 for a 17PM and in their Verizon account it says 9/19 instead? We upgraded in store on Friday.
My tracking number scanned in Texas - UPS got my baby in the warehouse waiting for 9/19
Yes, I have been able to have the fee waived on the last two iPhones I purchased. All I had to do was have an agent do the whole order process for me on their end over chat and they have the ability to waive the fee. I usually just tell them that I really can't afford it at the time for whatever reason. Back in April I had my Mom's iPhone 16 Pro Max upgrade fee waived then, and also I just had the fee waived for my iPhone 17 Pro Max upgrade.

Lol, can’t afford the upgrade fee but can afford to get a new $1000 phone. I would not buy that excuse if I were the rep on the line…
The upgrade fee is absurd for sure, but so is that excuse.
Think UPS has to do one delivery attempt b4 you can change anything. What i was told in the past few years ago. Maybe things have changed. You can call UPS and VZ and make sure.
Many of the UPS counters have stopped customer pickups after the pandemic.
The shipper (Apple or carrier) will often put restrictions on any shipping deviations.
UPS does allow for pick up at a UPS Access point for $6 fee.
I have done that many times for alcohol that can't be received my by underage kiddos who are adults...
It's not an excuse, just an example. The phone is paid over 36 months so it really doesn't amount to much monthly payment wise. Also in my case, my Dad just died a few months ago (I live with my parents) and we have $1100/month less income now so maybe think before you reply with something so ignorant again.
Sorry to hear about your dad as that truly does suck.
However the sentiment remains, if you are now without an additional $1,100 per month perhaps the better thing would be to keep your current phone and pay it off rather than getting the latest and greatest tech and then finding ways to have VZW refund a fee. Nothing about this new phone is a must have and is all a nice to have, especially at the price point these phones are at regardless of whether you pay for it monthly or all up front.
I don't know...but no matter if I am paying $1100 for a phone...If I can get VZW to wave an upgrade fee for $40 ...it is worth a shot. Personally I think the upgrade is BS anyway.
I basically made $40/hour for very little effort on my end. My bill is going down $17/month by upgrading so I figured why the heck not do it this year. My current phone has no promotions tied to it so I really had no reason to keep it and pay it off, which would be another 18 months of payments with no device upgrade monthly credits.
