I signed up with Verizon 2 days ago, originally went with the 5G plan and then a day later called in to switch to their unlimited plan. I noticed they charge $20 line access charge a month for non-unlimited plans, but waive that if u sign up the unlimited plan. Is this true? My initial bill does show that $20 access fee since I did sign up for the 5G plan initially, but the next month bill don't have that after I switched to unlimited. I just want to be clear by selecting VZ unlimited the price I see is the price I pay, no hidden bs fees.

Just looked at my Verizon bill. I’m on the unlimited plan and they DO still charge a $20 line access fee.

No it is not true. If the online system shows that, it won't be that way on your bill.

A single line Beyond unlimited plan is $90. $70 for the unlimited data and $20 line access fee. You get a $5 discount if you sign up for paperless billing and autopay (debit/ACH).

Definitely not. The price for a single line on Beyond Unlimited is $90 + taxes/fees. Verizon and AT&T are nothing like TMobile. Verizon and AT&T charge you a bunch of taxes and fees on top of the plan price.

Wow, I called twice this morning and spoke to two different customers reps and both of them told me the unlimited plans do not have to pay access fees. They even told me what exactly my normal monthly payment will be down to the pennies. I'll definitely consider switch again if they slap that charge on me, especially my phone is all paid for.

If these line access fees are supposed to be waived and I’ve been paying them I’m goin to be pretty upset. I have three lines on my account so that’s $60 bucks right now I guess I shouldn’t be paying!

I have VZ Unlimited - 9 lines (5 iPads and 4 iPhones) - paying 20 bucks per line. Still a good value I think, though VZ is not that much better than AT&T for me in most places. I do live in a rural area - we have a horse farm - so VZ is MY best option.

How much did they tell you it would be? It is $90 for Beyond Unlimited for a single line minus $5 discount if you sign up for autopay on debit or ACH and paperless billing. There are taxes and fees on top of the $90.

looking at my bill....93.50 (with a 15% military discount)...180 for 9 lines, 7.88 surcharges and 11.14 tax gov fees. My bill varies by 1-3 dollars each month.

I just called right now again, the lady told me and I reconfirmed several times until she got kind of irritated lol, if you on the new Verizon unlimited plan, then there is NO line access fee. That fee only applies to any non-unlimited plans. For me, I'm on a single line unlimited, monthly payment comes out to $80 + tax fees - $5 for autopay.

I have the regular unlimited plan, not the beyond unlimited by the way

Then you are on the single line Go Unlimited plan. It is $60 for unlimited and $20 line access fee. On top of that you will pay FUSC, admin charge, regulatory charge and state and local taxes also.

There is a line access fee for every Verizon line. You just don't realize it because it is part of the $80 price when you have a single line plan.

VZW unlimited paying a line access fee as well, not a total shocker if EVERY rep is wrong. Carrier reps are easily the most uninformed ppl I've ever spoken to. Most of us on here have better knowledge of just about everything going on with our carriers than they do.

OP has the single line plan. He doesn't realize that the $80 for the single line plan includes the $20 line access fee. He has the Go Unlimited single line plan, which is $60 for the unlimited data and $20 line access fee. Since it is a single line plan, they just quote the total price.

Are you the only one on your current plan? I just looked at my bill and I see 20 dollar charges for each of our lines

Yea I forgot they never tell you the $20 is in there you have to look at the breakdown

The fine print on this Best Buy page has the break down:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/verizo.../pcmcat1486998265280.c?id=pcmcat1486998265280

Verizon Go Unlimited Plan: 1 line: $75/mo = $60 account access fees less $5 Auto Pay enrollment discount, plus $20 line access fee.

Verizon Beyond Unlimited Plan: 1 line: $85/mo = $70 account access fees less $5 Auto Pay enrollment discount, plus $20 line access fee.

I myself know what the break down is I didn't know OP didn't realize his 20 was in the 80 already

Oh well, I knew going in the Verizon single line unlimited plan is $80 ($75 with autopay), so the fact $20 access line charge is included really doesn't bother me. What I was worry about is they add $20 on top of the $80.

Yeah, I guess what OP wanted to know was if he was going to have to pay another $20 on top of the $80 so that it would be $100. He won't have to pay $100 but after the FUSC, admin, regulatory charge and state/local taxes/fees, he may be paying close to $90.

No, but they will add the FUSC, admin, regulatory fees + state/local taxes/fees. That would add about $9 to a bill where I live.

Single line should be $60 with autopay $80 total with the line access fee plus whatever taxes. That's what you're being quoted for; the total. It will not be $100, and yes you are receiving a line access fee making your bill total between $80-$95

Just got off the phone with the person who handles my accounts - he called VZ - for me. I am on a 'grandfather plan' (fits as I'm old). I can not go with the Reg Unlimited Plan - something about being mainly for smartphones and not tablets. I would have to go with the Beyond Unlimited. While there is technically no line fee, there is a 'bundling fee' for tablets and smart phones. My plan WITH line access fees is 304.14 per month - the Beyond Unlimited WITHOUT line access fees will be 338.58. To be honest I am glad I have someone to handle these things - can not believe how confusing it is - though I am not the sharpest tack in the box . I wish you well - I stayed with my plan...would cost me too much to pay someone to decide which plan is best!

There is definitely a line access fee for every Verizon line. There is no such thing as a bundling fee.

How many lines do you have and what kind of devices are on them?

Are you currently on a Nationwide plan? If not, what is the name of your current plan?

I did not personally call VZ. When I said 'bundling' that is the term used by my guy that handles a lot of my personal accounts (not a VZ rep) - he used the term to tell me what my costs were in relationship to the plan I am on. As for your question - I have 4 iPhones (6S currently - switching to the X when available - if that matters) and 5 iPads (with cellular service - not sure what models - they are big - they are about 10 months old). Not sure what a "Nationwide Plan" is - mine is called : "The New Verizon Plan Unlimited" - Plan is $110.00 per month and they charge me 93.50 (former military service discount). Again my total is 304.14 and the Beyond would be 338.58...said my price will remain the same when I buy the 4 new iPhones. I do know I am limited to 10 lines on this account - that is actually my biggest complaint.

I have been with VZ for around 10-12 years - not sure exactly when we made the switch to Unlimited- I have had a cell phone/service since 1988 - not sure who with but I'm pretty sure I've only been with VZ for 10-12 years - I think I've only switched 2 times in my 29 years. I'd love to know how to save money - but my guy said "I'm good". It does seem like a lot of money. I'll pass on on advice for savings.
