That seems to be the consensus among members here. Several of us have tried and it only lets you do full amount payment.

That’s what I thought too. Not sure what the issue is this year.

I am on Verizon and when I played around cashing out an iphone 8 it provides the option for Verizon Payment plan.

Check the apple.com pre-order thread, but yes you can upgrade with the Verizon payment plan.

I can place an order for an iP8 on a Verizon financed DPP through apple.com. So at least for me, it is possible.

I think for those who have early upgrade options, it's not allowing it.

For those that can't do it through the app, what's your current account status? Do you owe money on your current device?

I own my phone on Verizon outright and it allows me to do a payment plan through Apple's App.

I JUST qualified for an upgrade today, so I think maybe the system doesn't recognize it yet.
