The fine print says that the Verizon update deal doesn’t work with shared data. Does this mean that to get the upgrade deal each phone has to be on its own plan?

The 13 isn’t on the Verizon site so I’ll wait until then.

I’ll post a link if I can find it again.

My wife and I use maybe 2.5 GB of data a month(on WiFi 90%of time) so I really don't want to do the unlimited even though a lot of benefits are offered with it.

I just looked at it and to upgrade 4 lines to unlimited will save me $10/month!

Verizon wants you on the new plans so they can get more money from you. And entice you with unreal trade in deals to get you to sign up for their more expensive newer plans. Also, Just buy directly from Apple and never have to deal with lame “restock fees” again.

As aside, did you know Best Buy has %15 restocking fee for an opened returned iPhone!!!! Ridiculous. Verizon has a few too. Maybe 10%. Better make sure you love the phone they give you 🤣

Check out the Ting Flex plan. We moved 3 lines over from vzw after it was clear last year that the small data plans were toast. Went from 130/mo to under 60.

Transferring to mvno with vzw (V1) sims isn’t easy but still worth it
