Carrier Verizon: what's cheaper?

For a family with four smart phones who keep their phones over two years, EDGE or standard family plan or individual plans? We need about 10gb total a month. We rarely talk but text a lot 😉

We have 5 iPhones on our Verizon Family Plan and have never hit our 6 GB limit. wi-fi is to convenient most of the time. As for texting a lot, very little data is used for that. With Verizon now giving 1 free GB of data per new phone or upgrade, you don't need as much as you think.

True, but what plan type? Oh is it cheaper to upgrade or cancel and get a new plan?
