Does anyone know how to get out of verizones etf?

I really do not want to pay the money.

Just like everywhere else, if you can't find a "gotcha", such as their raising the price of something or whatever, then you either pay up or you forget about it.

I'll be porting my Verizon number to my iPhone 3G later today (got the iPhone yesterday but didn't want to hold up the line with number porting). It will take at least a few weeks to get the final bill with the ETF and in the mean time I'll sell my old phone on eBay to help offset the cost.
