On my iPhone 4 all the apps iv already bought would I be able to continue using them.

Go to iclarified.com and look for tutorials on redsn0w to jailbreak it. You can only have a tethered jailbreak for 4.3.5.

Your apps should be fine after the jailbreak.

Again, www.iclarified.com has all the tutorial you need for jailbreaking your phone.

As for OS5, only tethered. Jailbreakme.com only work to 4.3.3.
