Version number of programs not updated in Finder after installation

When I install updates for programs, Finder does not update the version number until I force quit Finder or restart the computer. I'm on the second PB. I have not noticed this in Yosemite but am not sure about the first PB. Can you replicate this?

In PB4 (243d), Finder still not updating version numbers after installing updates without force quit or restart.
