Quick question to anyone who might know...

I understand that Versions consolidates file versions as time goes on. The Lion page says that, while the program saves new versions every hour, it saves space by "keeping hourly versions for a day, daily versions for a month, and weekly versions for all previous months."

What I would like to know is whether manual versions are saved indefinitely. The manual "save a version" feature would be pretty broken if you had to worry that, one day, *poof!*, the version you saved is gone.

If anyone has any definite information (eg. been using Versions for over a month), I would really appreciate your insight.

Thanks!

The first time I used versions it was pretty buggy, and ended up corrupting some of my more complicated files (which I was prepared for since it was the first developer release).

I've haven't really payed attention to it again until the golden master release that was give to us developers at the beginning of the month. So far none of my manual saves has been deleted, but it's been less than a month.
