Vertical carplay

My Renault Megane comes with an 8” vertical screen rather than a standard horizontal screen. Do you think there is any chance we will soon be able to have a horizontal display in CarPlay? Even if just the maps app?
 
Sadly I don't think so. Guess I won't be able to use it my McLaren...
 
That's a shame having the ability to display full screen apple maps would be a good shout and technology shouldn't be that hard to do, would it?
