I recently purchased a height adjustable studio display with a 14" MBP in silver. I have been trying to figure out docking options for my set up and wondering what others have done or seen as I believe there are some creative ways to handle this that I have not seen elsewhere (see attached). I prefer using clamshell mode and only want to use the MBP on the go, otherwise as a "desktop" driver.

At first I was concerned about the stability of the adjustable studio display, and don't love the larger base/foot, but given the cleanliness of these two set ups I am glad to have selected the adjustable monitor as the tilt only model would not be able to handle this placement. Wondering if anyone else has adopted something similar.

I get that you're trying to "hide" the Mac completely from view, but that just looks like an accident waiting to happen.

I would go for something like this (vertical dock). There tons of them available, some even offer powered ports.
