Ive been dreading this day for a while now,i bought a 27 in imac about two months ago fearing they would update it soon after ,with me loosing out on some amazing specs.after todays announcement i feel no regret at all, there was nothing about the new update that i would really prefer over my model.the next update will probably be when i update,or maybe a mac pro with a 27in screen

    anyone else have a opinion?

    I was about to say...
Because when I read the title, it said you are happy with this announcement. I was like whatttt?
I agree, this update really sucks.
Base model has i3? Excuse me apple. But, Summer 2010. It's time for i5 or i7 only. Oh, and you know about i9 as well? How about start rolling out 8GB ram? It took you this many years to release video card with 1GB ram? Another FU!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the i9 not the "consumer version" of the Westmere based processors? - which I think are in the new Mac Pros?

I think the new 27" iMacs are much better than your old and busted Core 2 Duo processor. You should be sad and stare longingly at the new iMacs in the Apple Store window.

I bought the same config as yours just two weeks back.. refurbished... its working great for me.. the only difference i see the the graphics card of 512mb ..that sort of bothers me.. .. but over all i am happy that the update /refresh .. is not a big change.. and so i am happy that i got my machine .. and didn't bother waiting..
