Both MBP and MBA were last updated on 11/06/12. Why is the MBA "Buy Now! Product just updated", whilst the MBP is "Neutral - Mid-product cycle"? Doesn't make sense.

Because the MBP gets updated more often than the MBA, thus the underlying maths (statistics) point to that conclusion.
Sometimes the MBP gets updated twice a year (February/April and October/November), but the MBA can be lucky to have one update per year.
