Very Quick Question about Software Updates

Hi,

What it is is that my new MBP doesn't come with software updates since June so it doesn't have things like Safari 6 and iTunes 10.6.3 that have come up from checking software updates. Shall i just install these without a second of thought and reading. In general, shall i do this anyway for software updates. Some of these are pretty big and i don't want to clutter-up my macbook.

Just run software update. If nothing shows up, then your MacBook is too old.

What do you mean? Do the older machines not get update? How often will new machines get updates?
