I agree. It's way too sensitive. Music with heavy bass will set the sensor off on mine.

I'm listening to Hotel California by the Eagles and the hard drive keeps clicking.
 
I've got a Seagate drive that clunks and clicks more than the failing drive it replaced.

May look into WD drives if they're quiet...

Seagates have always held up the best for me. Maybe you just got a faulty one. If it fails, you can probably get it replaced, since Seagate drives have pretty long warranties.
