One previous thread, not the one I linked to, suggested that they sometimes have a pile of them at the Genius Bar in any given Apple store and that they are willing to share.

I made one from a marker pen cap, but I'm not telling anyone in case they think its a bit sad (it was actually - it took ages to find one the right diameter, and I had to cut it down to the right length, trim the end square and the worst bit was that I was quite pleased with it. Oh dear......)

Actually i think you can call up apple parts department and you can buy them. Be aware though, they wanted to charge me $20 for one little rubber foot. $20!!!!! I told em to shove it.

I would ask at my local Apple Service Centre. They will often give you small replacement parts for little or no fee at all.

Like when I broke the F9 key on my iBook I just asked if the had one, and they rummaged around back in the workshop and came up with the closest they could find: A F9 key from a broken PowerBook keyboard. Fits fine on my iBook.

Didn't have to pay for it either... 🙂 just part of the service... 🙂 and I didn't even buy the iBook there... 😎

I was blessed to find my little part when I dumped the briefcase on the floor. Thanks to all who contributed thoughtful and humorous advice. $100 is a bit steep even for an official Apple part, dontcha think? 🙂
