My ipad mini have a problem with deleted images being stuck in some kind of "screen memory". Lets say I watch some images saved in the camera roll and then permanetly delete them, I can a few days later if I double tap the home screen see the image there if I recently had the picture app open due to looking at some other pictures (non deleted). Notice; I can only see it in the smaller app overlook mode, if I click on it I get back to the last viewed picture in the picture app.

A similar thing ocurs with safari; I can have a couple of websites open lets say yahoo, facebook, cnn and ebay. I dont have any of them in my bookmarks just to be clear about that. I then close them all one by one. After that I double tap the home button and shut down safari by swiping it upwards. Now I go in to settings and delete all cookies and cache and can even do a hard reset just for sakes.

Now here is the really strange thing, a few days later I can have a couple of different websites open in Safari, then i decide to press the home button in order to get to the main screen but without closing the sites im watching since I want to check them out later again, now I just go to the main screen to check out the date or put on some music or whatever. When I relaunch Safari, what comes up? Yes the exact same websites I was watching a few days ago with the exact same order on the tabs as they where back then!! (in this example yahoo, facebook, cnn, ebay). However it does not open these sites, its barely for a second then it switches over to the "real" ones in other words the right tabs I just had open. But still enough time to give a glance on a web session from the past.

Now imagine if someone borrows your ipad and a "obscure" picture long ago deleted shows up or your tab history from who knows when just pops up.

This has been a problem for a year now and from ios 7 to ios 8.1.2

All this seemes so strange that I wonder if apple hides something about what gets deleted. Maybe they get stored in some hidden folder or something, its all very suspicious. Sorry for typos im not from english speaking country.

Anyone have any clue?

iPad Mini, iOS 8.1.2

Nope and the safari thing is really really annoying. My saved safari screen is from a gossip site that has Miley Cyrus riding a big inflated penis.

Same thing has been happening to me for a year and also happens in the Notes app. Went from iOS 7 to iOS 8 and same story. Otherwise I have no complaints with the software that I can think of.

I was thinking that maybe a factory restart and then a restore from iTunes backup might help. But then again, wouldn't the problem just come back? Granted, in my case, any other web site would be an improvement over the one I unfortunately have saved now. I have done A LOT of googling on this and people have contacted apple support and they haven't gotten any help.

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I'm not a child joking around. This is a real problem and that's my real screen shot that comes up every now and then when I go back to Safari. I've started threads on this myself.

I don't know if you are serious or not macncheese. I have searched and could not find anyone with a similar problem posting on the web. Could you please link me to somewhere or your earlier posts where you adress this issue. Thanks.

Use an alternative browser with password protection when browsing, ahem, "obscure" pictures. e.g. Terra.

Very strange thing, iPad remembers deleted pictures/history!

Do you mean that you still can see pics althought you deleted them and also deleted the "deleted pic history"? (Because if you just deleted them, they are still there for 30 days before final deleting...)

It is called "recently deleted" or so and you see them in photos/album.
