Very stupid Mac question

Hey guys,
I am getting back into photography and I downloaded photomatix. My question is does it always stay in "downloads" or can I move it somewhere without it copying it and remove it from "downloads" for good. I think its because I so used to how a PC downloads and installs programs.

Yeah, you can drag it out of the Downloads folder to the Trash, the Desktop, or anywhere else you'd like for it to be.
