I am a relatively new Mac user (4-5 months).
But I already have a MacBook Air (on the road) and an iMac (at home) + I use a Windows 7 PC at work (can't break away from MS Access).
I now have Addresses, Calendars and Bookmarks synced up between all 3 computers (Outlook 2011 IE9 on the PC). Computing nirvana, or at least for me.
There are a few minor quirks to how each program uses the data but it took me a couple of hours this afternoon to get it all working and looking good.
I also use Windows Live and will continue to as it appears to handle Excel Spreadsheets and Word Docs better (and probably always will). Also you can chuck anything you want up there, which doesn't appear to be the case with iCloud.
But for all the other stuff I am a very happy camper.
Thought some praise should go up amongst all the moans and problems being reported here.
Cheers,
Terry
