im trying 2 view music videos and i've downloaded windows media player
but it says file format not valid when i try 2 play it.

any suggestions?

But still, I highly suggest you download an app called VLC. It handles a great handful of filetypes. 🙂

Edit: Here ya go Windows Media Player sucks for the Mac in my opinion. Microsoft did a horrbile job with it...

I think there is no way to read those videos on a Mac. All the Viacom properties' (MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, &c. &c. &c.) downloadable videos either use a codec not available on the Mac, or they use DRM that WMP for Mac OS X does not support.

i have vlc, doesn't play all videos.

Yup, your problem is that your using a mac.
vh1, mtv, and launch are not compatible for the mac.
They use windows media player and microsoft has not updated its version
on the mac (they will never im sure of).

Anyways, if you want to watch videos on a mac, go to music.aol.com
otherwise stick with windows.

Don't blame mac for not doing it, blame the music industry.

If VLC doesn't play it, then that tells you something. The majority of video formats are playable with VLC. Switching back to Windows just for this... yeah, I don't recommend that. You can get videos other places you know.

But whatever you do, please don't switch back to Windows. 🙁
