VHS Video Capture to iBook G4

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone could advise on the kit I would need to get some old VHSC camcorder videos onto my G4 1.2mhz iBook. I have the adapter to play them into a video recorder, but not the camera (the films are over 10 years old).

Any suggestions on specific bits of kit that I could use?

I'm not positive, but I think a USB TV capture card is the only route you can go. Something from ATi or El Gato

OP, are you saying that you can't digitize them with a digital camcorder because you can't connect the VHS player to it?

This is how it can be done with a digital camcorder: VHS player --analog--> camcorder --digital (firewire)--> iMovie ---> iDVD.
