Does the vibration motor on the home button of the iPhone 8 (2 yrs old, running iOS 14.7, well-kept) have any hidden settings?

I am noticing a difference in the pulses it gives when I press it. Earlier, it used to be sharp and clean. Now, there seems to be another delayed vibration in the background when I press the home button. This happens often, but not always.

Is there a problem with the hardware, or is there a setting I could access and change?

Thanks!

I’ve experienced this issue on my XS Max. I think it was 14.6 but I’m not sure what caused it… iOS 15 seems to of fixed it.

It’ll be a great relief if that’s also the case with my phone!
iPhone 8 has been the best phone I had, and given me a great experience. I’d hate to sell it for a stupid issue like a vibration motor problem. I really hope it’s software related and it gets resolved with iOS 15.
I made a mistaken updating to iOS 14.7.1 right away. All because of Pegasus Lol
