video adapulators

I have a 2013 MBA 13".
I'd like to tag an ext older 24" Dell onto it.
The MBA is mDP and the Dell is DVI-D
I have a mDP to HDMI adapter. If I add an HDMI to DVI-D adapter to that, should that work?
It's nothing critical (no duh) just picture.

Probably. Else there are plenty of single cables for that task for under $10 on Amazon.
