    1. Since the screen is only 720p, what happens when you play a 1920x1080 video on it? Does it look different than the same video that might be encoded for 720p?

    2. I have read that it is great with blacks but not so great with white colors. How accurate are skin colors in general?

    Thanks.

1080p videos look the same just down scaled to 720p. You won't notice any difference. As for the screen, yes the blacks are amazing and believe it or not white actually does look white while using the device. When compared side by side to say an iphone you'll notice the note 2 is yellower when showing white. Skin tones look a little saturated, however this can be fixed by changing the screen mode to either natural or movie. I keep mine on standard and everything looks A okay. What really blows me away is how crisp the display is when watching hd youtube over wifi or LTE.

If skin tones look better in natural or movie mode, why not just always keep it in one of those two modes? What is the advantage of staying in standard mode?

    Thanks.

How often are you looking at pictures with skin in them. I guess Zwhaler isn't very often :p

Because the user interface, home screens, live wallpaper, and pretty much everything else looks better in standard mode. I don't think skin tones are bad in standard mode, they're just more saturated than in the other 2 modes.
