Hi, in a bit of a bind and not sure what better forum category to ask this. I need to record a 6 hour long seminar that will be on a zoom call. I am not sure if the administrator will authorize recording within the zoom app, so i’m looking for a solid app for Mac OS/desktop, that i can rely on to capture the entirety of the audio and video, especially of i need to walk away for some length of time. Can anyone suggest the best way to accomplish this? My newest OS btw is Mojave. Thanks for any help!!!!

Hi, thanks for the advice! I took a look at a few incluing OBS and wound up finding a free trial of MOVAVI as a pretty reasonable solution for the task. It has a trial period with a watermark on the video but that really doesn't matter for my purposes... Have used Amoeba for audio in the past - not sure if they've addded some video feature now but will take a look at it, and the Piezo app...so far tho it looks like the Movavi will work out in any event. Thanks!

Sorry my mistake. Rogue Amoeba apps have not added video, but will of course record all audio. So not a solution if video presentations are involved. I'm using it as record of video meetings when video is mainly just views of participants, so little added value.

No problem, i can certainly see it working well for that. I’d probably be fine just doing audio for this as well…and may just run an audio record off a mic on another computer as a backup, as all i really care about is the spokencontent, not the audio quality. Thanks!
