Hello, So I ordered a new macpro today, standard config of the 3299 model from Macmall and I need to hookup 3 monitors to it. My question is, can i use the ATI HD 4870 along with two of the nvidia cards? I will need to purchase these cards and install them as I did not see a way to configure the machine to meet my specs on macmall. I assuming that the nvidia cards have 1 dvi or do they have 2? Also, can I get a more powerful video card or are those 2 cards my only options?

    Thanks!

    Steve

Each card has two monitor ports on it. You only need two cards for three monitors.

Those cards are your only choice.

you only need two cards, unless at least one of your monitors has a mini displayport. if not, you'll need one DVI, DL-DVI, or VGA to mini displayport adapter.

One of each? Absolutely. That's what I'm doing.
